Excellent operating oil refinery needs your Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and minimum of one year of directly related experience in a petroleum refinery preferred. Will provide technical support with the supervision of the Engineering Manager through troubleshooting, optimizing and designing to assist the Refinery in the maximization of profitability, participate in HAZOP, provide process monitoring and optimization recommendations to the Operations Depatment, and provide basic evaluation of equipment and piping systems. Provide assistance to the Operations Department during start up, special operations and Turnarounds. Must have the ability to work in a team environment, use a computer with knowledge f Office XP. Must have the ability to speak, walk, see, climb structures of 100' or more, stoop, kneel, reach, balance, crawl, work in confined areas, lift 20 or greater pounds, work in extreme temperatures, around moving equipment, subject to loud noise,dust, dirt, chemicals and odors. Must have the ability to wear fire retardant clothing and protective gear required. Must have the ability to take 24-hour call, travel by common carrier, work extended hours, and make presentations to groups.
