Job Description Instrument Reliability EngineerM/b> DUTIES: Provide technical solutions to ensure mechanical integrity, reliability, safety and environmental integrity in the discipline of field instrumentation and controls. Provide day-to-day technical support that ensures continuous improvements to the function of the refinery operating assets; while focusing on the most unreliable assets and providing solutions to make them reliable. Take ownership of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and performspecial technical assignments as required. Perform as a project manager/engineer responsible for scope development, funding, field execution and documentation according to PSM and project management requirements. REQUIRED: Bachelor's of Science degree n electrical engineering or similar with experience. Ten to fifteen years of petrochemical plant experience. Must have knowledge of refinery practices, IEEE standards, API standards and recommended practices, NFPA 70 (National Electric Code), ISA and OSHA1910 Mechanical Integrity requirements. Must have effective interpersonal and communications skills (written and oral); strong organizing and planning skills; problem solving and analytical skills; computer literacy; team player; self-motivating; with wilingness to provide field guidance as well as administrative supervision. PREFERRED: Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineering registration. Manufacturer's training in a variety of I/E equipment types such as valvs, PLC's, transmitters and power equipment.
