Job Description Our client is currently working on a $3.2 Billion expansion of its South Louisiana Refinery that will increase refining capacity from 245,000 bpd to 425,000 bpd. In addition to the installation of a new crude and vacuum distillation unit, expansion plans call for the construction of infrastructure and other process units including a delayed coker, heavy gas oil hydrocracker, reformer and kerosene hydrotreater. Candidates must be willing to travel and relocate to Louisiana. For the initial 12-14 month during detailed engineering the position will work primarily in Houston and will be located in South Louisiana for the construction phase of the project. Safety Manager Responsibilities: Ensure project is completed safely, on time and within budget. Interface reglarly with prime and sub-contractors to ensure their understanding and cooperation with the Refinerys Safe Practices and Procedures. Ensure that the prime and sub-contractors provide screening, OSHA training and site orientation for their employees consitent with Refinery standards. Work cooperatively with Safety Supervisors, Corporate Safety, and Refining Safety to establish and maintain consistent safety policies and procedures. Gather, review and analyze health and safety data from to identify treds and potential improvements. Qualifications: Must be willing to travel and relocate.
